Discover the Salzburger Land.

Surrounded by fascinating natural monuments, our house is an ideal starting point for exploring the entire province of Salzburg. The Salzburger Land with its green mountain lakes, roaring waterfalls and impressive mountain panoramas is an incomparable natural jewel.
Discover the highest waterfall (Krimmler Wasserfälle),the highest located mountain reservoir (Kapruner Hochgebirgsstausee),the most beautiful panorama road (Großklockner Hochalpenstraße) and the biggest icecave in Europe.
Even hidden natural beauties want to be found: walk around the picturesque Jägersee, that is surrounded by a deep green forest belt and high mountains, stop at a traditional tavern or even test your rowing skills; visit the scenic Rossbrand, where you can enjoy a 360 degree panorama that allows you to see over 150 distinctive Alpine peaks, including the Dachstein, the Bischofsmütze and the Grossglockner.
Hike along the Marbach, located at the valley of Flachau, and take a rest in one of the original alpine pastures or take a horse-drawn carriage to the quaint Oberhofalm at the foot of the Bischofsmütze.

The city of Salzburg, the Mozart and festival city, is always worth a visit. The Rome of the North, that is what it´s called, has a lot to discover. It is full of winding streets, spacious old town squares and mountains in the middle of the city. Special highlights of Salzburg are:

The castle Hohenwerfen, with its raptor show and the salt mine in Hallein, the oldest salt mine in the world, can also be explored.

Life is movement (Aristotle) and our region offers many opportunities to get moving. Take a break from everyday life on a leisurely alpine or meadow hike, trudge over mountain meadows, tackle small climbs, jump over clear mountain streams and taste regional specialties in rustic huts. If you are looking for a sporty challenge, in Salzburg you will find mountaineering tours of varying degrees of difficulty. You will be rewarded with glittering mountain lakes and an overwhelming mountain panorama. If you prefer to move on two wheels, then you are invited by the promising bike and mountain bike trails of the Salzburg mountains for extended excursions. Cycle or bike along idyllic alpine valleys, conquer numerous elevations and enjoy the well-deserved descent into the valley. Particularly noteworthy for mountain bikers is the "Stoneman Taurista", a personal mountain bike challenge with the starting point in Flachau; a tour designed in 3 stages, 123 km long and 4500 meters in altitude. With the mountain bike tour map of the region nothing stands between you and a successful cycling holiday. For the adventurous type, there are also rafting, canyoning, caveing, climbing, high rope climbing gardens and much more.
